Rip A Remix Manefesto: Exploring Copyright from the Copy Left

RiP: A Remix Manifesto explores the impact that copyright protectionism has on creativity and our society. Brett Gaylor points to the ridiculous history of Copyright, charting it’s rise to dominance through the 20th century.

Quick post to let you know about an amazing movie screening this weekend and next at the Ridge Theater.

The Documentary made me shake my head time and time again, yet still left me with hope and inspiration as the lights come up.

As my generation (Generation Y) moves forward to claim roles of influence in government and business, RiP leaves me with the hope that a new and better way to do things is possible, brewing deep within the technological and social changes that have shaped the way we work, connect and collaborate.

A must see film. Check it out at the Ridge Theater (see show times) or click here to read what Jay Grandin had to say about it.

  • This was a fantastic movie, and very well thought out in its presentation. It certainly gave me a whole new perspective on owning what you create and also sharing it to inspire others to create.

    I hope it does well.
