We’ve been hearing rumors of talks between Microsoft and social networking platforms Facebook and Twitter for sometime now.
Apparently a deal has been done. We should hear more details later today but the most notable part of this deal isn’t who’s involved, but who’s been left out.
Google Left Out Google Announces Real-Time Twitter Search (Updated)
Google was reported to be in late stage talks with Twitter about access to Twitter’s “firehose of data” or real time access to the massive stream of updates that twitter users create , but has apparently been beaten to the deal by Microsoft.

Signing a deal with both Twitter and Facebook for real time data is a big deal. Get ready for Bing to become a bigger search player….if Microsoft doesn’t completely screw themselves…again.
If Bing is the only source for this sort of data, they best be offering us users a great product, they’ll owe it to us content creators.
