I want Google Voice

Seriously, the list of features is awesome. Too bad we don’t know if or when the service will join us in “the great white north.”

Features include:

  • One number: a single phone number that rings all your phones
  • Free SMS: send, receive & store text messages online
  • Block calls: send unwanted callers straight to voicemail
  • Record calls: record phone calls and store them online
  • Conference calls: join several people into a single call
  • Screen callers: hear who is calling before you pick up

Plus:

  • Google voicemail: voicemail like email
  • Voicemail transcription: read what your voicemail says
  • Custom greetings: vary voicemail greetings by caller
  • International calling: low cost calls to the world
  • Notifications: read voicemail messages via email or SMS
  • Share voicemails: forward, embed, or download voicemails

= awesome

    Hey I followed the steps on this site in order to set up an Alberta number and how to by pass all the barriers from Google to get Google Voice to work in Canada

    I can now call Unlimited to Canada and the US for free from my cell.

    following its roll out, not it's roll out.
    its = possesive
    it's = it is
  • I disagree with this. You don't type Bills hat. You type Bill's hat. Same concept in my opinion. When you're talking in possessive terms, I don't think there's any reason for exceptions to the " 's " rule.
  • GD
    The exception is for inanimate objects... "its" is possessive form for an inanimate object examples: a coffee table had one of its legs damaged; while a dog has injured one of it's legs.
  • Bob
    Nothing to do with inanimate or animate- it still is "while a dog has injured one of ITS legs." ben senise explained it properly.

    While I know that, sometimes my finger's dont...

    j/k

    i would prefer to remain anonymous but Google voice would be a great service in Canada as well as it would be a great tool for law enforcement as I personally in that field need to give my personal number out to ppl in order to gain information that leads to getting criminals put in jail. this would give me the option to give a different number out with a different set of options without breaking the budget casue lets be honest when has the Canadian government ever provided law enforcement with enough money to supply each person a work phone that they could use.
  • I use a US number & I can txt for free. It rules
  • Smash the CRTC. Bunch of ex-Bell and ex-Telus dinosaurs, except they're sadly not extinct.
