A Day in Stop Motion @GiantAntMedia

Wow, we don’t move much during the day.

Derek and Todd set this bad boy up.

Using Apple’s “Automator”, Derek Pante and I created a simple script for grabbing low-res images from a MacBook Pro’s iSight video feed.

On this pass, the video was limited to 218×218 px, I apologize for any pixellation.

After shooting, the sequence of nearly 1300 images was imported into Adobe Aftereffects – where I added some basic curves and a slight de-saturation. Otherwise, the footage is untouched.

Giant Ant Media is a Vancouver Creative Agency specializing in creating Social Objects, things people comment, share and connect around online.
