If they would like to charge more to have access to certain web sites, wouldn't that just kill off the bigger websites and allow smaller websites to grow?

Oh such words of wisdom.

Let me guess, you're an executive at one of the telecom co's and you're just trying to vent your frustration.

I'll allow it. Thanks for the insight. :S

No evidence of the above actually happening, I think it shows the awful potential of a two tiered internet. The FCC has stepped up with some positive decision in recent months to ensure that you and I have the same access to reading/publishing and sharing that a big company would have.

Actually the US Government did control a big chunk of the internet and just recently "gave up" its "control" to ICANN. This is going to happen if the Government doesn't put new laws into place to take over where to old ones that expired. Laws to protect the consumers rights from the ISP. The above image is what will happen if the Government let the ISPs do what they want or if they are able to get laws past saying they can do what they want.

The FCC is already doing a fine job of keeping the "net neutral".
Why do we need more legislation to fix something that isn't broken?
Is there any evidence out there that supports the above image?

plus I'm sure you all would enjoy being charged by the minute when you use the internet. I bet that would put some business under. Net neutrality will only kill one of the greatest innovations not make it better. Which is what always happens when we let govt get involved in areas they don't belong
