Brandon Moza’s “Vancouver: Testing the Cannon 7D”

According to Brandon’s Vimeo page:

Was in Vancouver for a few days and spent some time testing out the video mode of my 7d. All random stuff, no theme or story; just cut to music.

Equipment used: 7D w/ 17-55mm 2.8IS, Glidecam HD-2000, and…….rollerblades :)

Color Correction was done in Color and I used the “super-flat” custom profile to help increase the dynamic range for post. 100% 720p 60 conformed to 24p.

I included a bunch of clips featuring moire to demonstrate what you can/can’t get away with when shooting deep focus shots. Thanks for watching! Music: Radiohead – Go Slowly

At $1700 it’s amazing the quality and accessibility that this camera brings to the market. I likey.

  • That's some phenomenal video. I always wonder how others seem to be able to have people look so natural in their photos and video. I find I run into people afraid to walk through a shot and that ruins it more than if they were oblivious. Perhaps I need an invisibility cloak.

I am still not sure which HD video DSLR I want to buy. The Canon 7D is nice, but so are the Nikon D90 and the Panasonic DMC-GH1. It's a tough choice.

So true. It's awesome that there are so many choices.

I'm in drooling mode right now... have to wait a while to get into a new
camera. good luck with your decision :)
