CD Release Party Raises enough for housing for a year

Leah just posted an update on the Bongo Project or as she writes ” catching up on the film, the project, the guys”.

Urban Project hosted a kick ass CD release party for Maisha Magumu (Hard Life) in Vancouver with an energetic performance by the CFC and a spirited freestyle battle between an insanely talent MC (Kofi) and OUR MC James (literally, our master of ceremonies) who held his own surprisingly well.

The party raised $700 which was recently converted into housing for a year and school fees. Not bad folks.

One of the dudes, Omary, found anothers studio to work with and  recorded this track after the Urban Project team left Tanzania. Click here and scroll down to have a listen.

On this Christmas Eve Day

Thank you. Without a dedicated local network and all our friends, the Urban Project Team couldn’t have made it this far.

Merry Ho ho ho.
