With much of the juicy conversation during conferences happening on the “Backchannel” (aka social networks like twitter, facebook and blogs) the ability for a presenter to have his or her notes tweete automatically represents a great opportunity.

According to The Unofficial Apple Weblog:

An open source AppleScript app, Keynote Tweet will automatically tweet the text from your presenter notes (accessible by clicking on “view” and selecting “show presenter notes”).

Keynote Tweet was exposed to me while reading a piece by IDEO Labs’ Gentry Underwood, who highlights the idea of large presentations increasingly occurring within the context of a backchannel in which audience members are responding to what’s being presented.

How it could be used

  • highlighting important information, like quotes or stats (Retweetable content!)
  • thanking
